Surveying & 3D Scanning in Elk Grove
Elk Grove incorporated on July 1, 2000, and grew to 176,124 residents by the 2020 census. Any subdivision recorded before incorporation was mapped under Sacramento County, so boundary research here usually crosses from county records into city records. The city's oldest core is far older than either. The Elk Grove Historic District along Elk Grove Boulevard and School, Gage, and Grove streets has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1988, with buildings from 1875 to 1949. Lot lines and building positions there often predate modern mapping, so boundary retracement and existing-conditions documentation are especially useful before an addition, storefront rehab, or sale.
On the city's southeast side, the City's Grant Line industrial annexation area, at Grant Line Road, Waterman Road, and Highway 99, covers 557 acres planned for light and heavy industrial and commercial uses, and part of it lies in the Deer Creek and Cosumnes River floodplain. That combination needs good topography before design and careful construction surveying during the build. Across the city we provide boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and survey-grade 3D laser scanning on project control. Scanning deliverables include registered point clouds, scan-to-CAD plans and sections, and anchor bolt and steel verification for new industrial buildings.
